All You Need To Know About Mercedes-Benz G 350d
Mercedez-Benz is all geared up to launch the G350d variant of the G-class in India. The model will be the first-ever non-AMG G-class in India. For the very first time, the brand is introducing a diesel-powered G-class in the country.
The model will feature a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel engine, that resembles the unit on the S-class producing 284bhp and 600Nm of torque. Paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission, power is sent to all four wheels. The model can simultaneously sprint from 0-100kmph in 7.4 seconds. The price of the model stands at Rs 1.50 crore (ex-showroom, India).
Under the hood, the model gets the BS6 compliant 3.0-litre, an inline six-cylinder motor which puts out 282 bhp and a heavy 600 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The amalgamation of the engine and gearbox triggers the SUV to triple-digit speeds in 7.4 seconds.
In the case of the design, the Mercedes-Benz G 350d variant is similar to that of the G63 AMG. The front grille and bumpers do not give a look of aggression like the G63 that has prominent Panamericana grille. The new G-Wagon is also bigger in dimensions compared to its predecessor as it is 53 mm longer, 64 mm wider and 15 mm taller than before.
The rear seat area has been renovated to offer better legroom and the recline angle of the seat itself has been improvised than what was offered in its predecessor.
In the case of the cabin layout, it flanks similar features as that of the G63. However, you will enjoy a dual-tone black and beige interiors on the G 350d which differs from the black interiors on the G 63 AMG. The cabin is also adorned with piano black touches, chrome finish and minimalistic use of wood.
Other standout features include four-zone automatic climate control, head-up display and powered front seats.
