AMW-CFMoto Enters Indian Market with Four New Models

The much-awaited launch of the year for the die-heart bike enthusiasts took place on July 19, 2019. AMW Motorcycles in association with CFMoto launched four motorcycles in India. The ownership of motorcycles primarily stands under CFMoto and the motorcycles launched include 300NK, 650NK, 650MT, and the 650GT.

AMW Motorcycles Private Limited (Banglore) was founded in 2018 with the aim of bringing joy to motorsport lovers and biking enthusiasts in India. The company has made some significant investments in setting up the dealership network through the country. The company has also set up an assembly plant near Banglore with an initial capacity of 10,000 units annually.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Vamsi Krishna Jagini – CEO AMW Motorcycles said “This is the most awaited launch yet in the Indian market. We are thrilled to partner with CFmoto to bring their globally renowned models to India. The bikes are in the premium niche segment and there is a healthy demand in the category.”

Continuing with the Event, Mr. Kent Chen, Assistant General Manager, Global Sales CFmoto said, “We are happy to bring CFmoto to the Indian consumers. India is a vast and exciting market and in AMW we found a perfect partner to make our India foray. The Indian two-wheeler sector has seen tremendous growth and the premium motorcycle market in India is not only growing but also evolving in consumer tastes and preferences.”

CFMoto 300NK is a street fighter with full LED headlamps powered by a 299cc, single-cylinder engine. CFMoto 650NK is also a street fighter with a sharp tail section and functions on a 649.3cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled DOHC engine. The CFMoto 650MT is an adventurer tourer powered by a 649.3cc liquid-cooled engine, and the CFMoto 650GT is a sports tourer powered by a 649.3cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine.

The CFMoto motorcycles launched are powered between 300-650cc segment which means, the competition is very high and the models range starts at 300NK – Rs. 2,29,000, 650NK – Rs.3,99,000, 650MT – Rs. 4,99,000 and 650GT – Rs. 5,49,000 (ex-showroom prices India). The motorcycles will be bought via the CKD route and will available through a dealer network in 6 cities based at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Cochin, Kolkata, and Guwahati.
