Audi E-Tron: A Promising Innovation from Audi
After the successful unveiling of Audi E-Tron, the German Carmaker is all set to release it by the end of this year. E-Tron is the first electric model offered by Audi and it will distribute E-Tron allocation across dealership in major cities that include Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
When it comes to size, Audi E-Tron is a component between Q5 and Q7. The styling of the E-Tron can be considered a typical Audi SUV which is powered electrically. With wide silver grille finish, sharply-cut LED headlamps and housing dynamic flaps for aero-efficiency, it is worth all the attractions around the country. The side-mounted cameras that replace rear-view mirrors are another feature in the E-Tron that has increased the style in this creation.
The side profile of this vehicle is just like the traditional Audi cars but gets few flowing cuts above the wheel arches. The wheels are the 20-inch contrasting-grey adding efficiency in the performance of the vehicle. The rear focuses on an LED light bar that consumes the entire width and the slimmer taillamps that widen with LED light slits.
Interiors of the vehicle are designed as per the Audi SUV which is enriched by a center console with its twin haptic screen set-up. The dashboard is more layered as well and now with sharper elements. The Virtual Cockpit has been reworked to provide EV-specific data and the steering is much sporty and light. The vehicle is available in all-black interior and numbers, the vehicle is 4901mm long, 1935mm wide, and 1616mm height. For the Boot space, you get 660-litres which can be extended up to 1725-litres with the rear seats folded. Along with that, the E-Tron also gets ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, wireless charging, navigation, sound system, air suspensions, 360-degree camera view, and a panoramic sunroof.
The E-Tron will be available in one drive train option, the 55 Quattro that works on a liquid-cooled 95kWh lithium-ion battery. It powers two electric motors, one located on each axle and produces combines the output of 265Kw @ 561Nm of torque. The SUV has the power to reach from 0-100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 200kmph. The Audi E-Tron has the capacity of reaching up to 400km.
With the introduction of BS-VI norms by the Indian government, the electric vehicles will become the best option for the consumers and with Audi entering into the market with EV options, the competition has just shifted gears to the next level.
