Audi Q5 Facelift Spotted Testing; Possibly to Arrive by 2020
The German Carmaker Audi has always been a reliable brand in the country. It has been offering several products to India consumers and Q5 is one of the most praised products offered by this company. Q5 is known for its spacious and comfortable interiors along with its high-performance.
Recently, the company was spotted testing the prototype of the Q5 facelift and it seems that the vehicle has received major updates on the front and backside. For the front updates, the grille has been made wider and shorter featuring a honeycomb pattern connected by horizontal slats. The headlight setup also looks new as it has been split into two parts. One part features LED DRLs and dynamic indicators whereas the other part works as a regular headlight.
At the rear end, you can easily spot the difference in the tail lamps with some new elements fitted especially when the tail lights are lit. Apart from the taillights, the entire rear section was camouflaged but it does not seem like there are any other major changes at the rear side.
In terms of interiors, it is being expected that the Q5 facelift would comprise of the interiors similar to that of the new Q7. The major attraction for the interiors is being suspected of the infotainment screen which has been integrated into the dashboard in the new Q7. Rather than the luxurious interiors, safety has always been a USP of the German Carmaker, which assures that the Q5 facelift will sport several safety features.
Currently, Audi Q5 is available in petrol and diesel variants in India. The petrol variant uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit that generates 248.5HP while the diesel variant is featured with 2.0-litre unit that makes 187.4HP. So far, the company has not released any information for the engines installed in the facelift but it is being expected that the company will carry on with the same engine variants.
The Q5 facelift is probably to hit the market by the end of 2020 with a price tag of Rs. 55.29Lakhs and 59.98Lakhs (Ex-Showroom) that are equivalent to the price tags of current Audi Q5 available in the Indian Market.
