Audi Reveals e-Tron Sportback
Audi has finally revealed its second bespoke electric vehicle, the e-Tron Sportback. The new model has a similar height, length, and weight as the standard Audi e-Tron along with rear-door, bumper, and rear lights. The rear roofline of the vehicle is different from its standard version which provides the aerodynamic look to the vehicle
Audi e-Tron Sportback gets decoupled front and rear axle which adds another 10km of range in the vehicle. In the Sportback, Audi has swapped two water pumps to one which reduces the weight and cost while using less energy.
The most powerful e-Tron Sportback 55 offers up to 450km of range while a lesser variant e-Tron Sportback 50 offers 350km range. The Sportback 55 delivers 360hp and 561Nm of torque from two motors and a 95kWh battery. It completes 100kmph in just 6.6secs while in Sport mode the vehicle gets a boost feature allowing the vehicle to generate 408hp and 664Nm of torque for 8secs.
Interiors of the e-Tron Sportback are similar to the interiors of e-Tron that features a dual-touchscreen setup angled towards the driver and optional virtual wing mirrors. The model features digital matrix LED headlights where it uses hardware found in video projectors.
Audi e-Tron Sportback is a better creation than e-Tron and the company certainly expects a much better response from this vehicle. It is will interesting to watch how the vehicle performs once it hits the road.
