BMW Reveals the 2020 M8 Gran Coupe
BMW revealed another model in their M car portfolio that sits along the two-door M8 Coupe and Convertible models. The BMW M8 Gran Coupe will get a variable all-wheel-drive system and Active M differential. It sports the same 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 like the two-door models with 600hp output for the standard model and 625hp output for the competition model.
BMW has added 200mm to the wheelbase for the rear doors. It is also reported that the base version completes the 0-100kmph sprint in 3.3 seconds whereas, the competition version can complete the 0-100kmph sprint in just 3.2 seconds. BMW has also increased the top speed from 250kmph to 306kmph when the M Driver’s package is specified.
Currently, there is no confirmation whether the M8 Grand Coupe will be available in the Indian market, but the standard 8 Series Gran Coupe is expected to arrive in India by mid-2020 and the 840i is expected to be priced at Rs. 1.40Crore.
