BS-VI Compliant Yamaha FZ, FZ-S, & YZF-R15 Will Soon Hit the Streets
One of the largest two-wheeler makers in India, Yamaha Motors is expected to launch the BS-VI Compliant version of FZ, FZ-Z and R15 V3.0 by the end of this year. As per reports, the BS6-compliant engine of FZ, FZ-S and R15 V3.0 will produce less power in comparison to the BS4 engine. For FZ and FZ-S, the power figure will be reduced by 1hp, and R15 will produce 0.7hp less than the BS4 engine.
Yamaha YZF-R15 already uses the fuel-injected motor and now the brand is expected to use the same motor for FZ and FZ-S with the BS6-compliant engine. Apart from these three vehicles, Yamaha will also unveil the BS6-compliant version of Fascino.
Along with Yamaha, every other automobile company in India has started working on its current products to comply with the BS6 norms. Some brands ended up reducing the power of the vehicle while some of them have managed to extract a bit more from their motor. According to different reports, the prices for these vehicles will go up a little bit and it will be interesting to watch the response they get from millennials once they enter the market.
