Hyundai Kona AllSet to Release in India on 9 July

Kona Electric is ready to be launched in India with unique features and impressive looks by the 9th of July. It is the first electric vehicle offered by Hyundai, one of the biggest market holders in India. The substantial exteriors of Hyundai Kona have received some changes to convey its electric powertrain. It would boast an attractive design with a closed front grille incorporating a flap to cover the charging socket, along with twin headlights.

The new Kona electric will be available to the customers with 17-inch alloy wheels whilst featuring a 7-inch digital cluster, 8-inch touchscreen, paddle shifter, and an electronic gear shift button. It would also feature ventilated front seats that are adjustable electronically. The infotainment system is compatible with Apple and Android devices. To make the rider feel like they’re sitting in a spacious car, this vehicle offers a boot capacity of 373 liters.

The first version of Hyundai Kona Electric will be available with a 39.2kWh battery option and it can travel up to 300km on a single charge. This version would use a 99kW electric motor that generates 134bhp of power and 395Nm of torque. It has the capacity to reach from 0-100 in just 9.2 seconds providing a top speed of 155kmph. Hyundai is a company that focuses on comfort and space, has designed this vehicle to be smooth and easy to handle along with providing the utmost comfort to the rider.

In the second version, Hyundai plans to launch Kona with a long-range version that supports the 64kWh battery and can travel up to 470kmph in a single charge. This version will also feature a 150kWh electric motor with 395Nm of torque. It has the capability of reaching from 0-100 in just 7.6 seconds. Currently, it is not confirmed which of the model will be launched in India.
