Kawasaki Might Unveil the Euro 5-compliant Z900 At The 2019 EICMA
Kawasaki is all prepped up to launch a new variant of the W900 at the EICMA show in Italy. The news was confirmed by Sergio Vicarelli, Director,Sales and Marketing, Kawasaki. At present, the company sells the street and the café racer variants in the world market. Only the street model is available in India. This upcoming third variant is expected to be a scrambler model, however, we are not sure of the exact details as the officials of the company have refused to disclose any news related to the model’s body type.
The recent CARB filings did not shed much light on 2020 Z900 but have disclosed that there is a possibility that Z900 will be featuring the same 948cc, liquid-cooled, in-line four motors as the current-gen motorcycle. We are speculating this motor to be Euro 5/BS6- compliant, but we are still unaware whether the updated engine will have a different power output or not.
Leaving apart the addition of new paint options last year, the motorcycle still has not received other updates since then so Kawasaki is expected to utilize this opportunity in bringing a heavily updated Z900. We expect 2020 Z900 to get a new set of rider aids along with a new digital instrument cluster.
A teaser image of all three bikes has been shared by Kawasaki last month, which are ready to appear at the EICMA. Should we expect the launch of 2020 Z900? Or, will Kawasaki also bring the 2020 ZX-10RR? We think we will have to play the waiting game for a few more days until the news is revealed. Until then, stay tuned to My Auto Reviewer for more updates.
