Maruti Suzuki’s Mirco-SUV S-Presso All-Set to Launch by September
With the Indian automobile market shifting its gear towards BS-VI compliant vehicles, Maruti Suzuki is getting ready to take on the challenge with S-Presso micro-SUV. The company will probably announce the price for the vehicle by September this year and will bestow the sales through its Arena dealership channels.
This is said to be the smallest SUV from Maruti Suzuki and will belong to the segment of compact SUV. Vitara Brezza, one of the most appreciated compact SUVs currently stands above S-Presso and with the introduction of this vehicle, Maruti will compete against Renault and Mahindra who offer Kwid and KUV100 NXT respectively.
The interiors of S-Presso are most likely to feature Celario’s cabin with dark-grey interiors. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is the production-spec version of the Future S Concept which will be equipped with a Mini-Esque dashboard layout with a digital speedometer and a mounted infotainment system inside a circular enclosure.
Similar to the latest Maruti models, S-Presso will be based on the flexible lightweight heartect platform with a BS-VI Compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine which is also offered in Wagon R, Swift, Baleno, and Ignis. Maruti also plans to offer CNG powered variant of S-Presso but the date for its release has not been confirmed yet.
