Mini Countryman Black Edition Makes Its Way To India; Available At Rs 42.40 Lakhs
MINI has launched a new limited-edition version of the Countryman as Countryman Black Edition at INR 42.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Setting up the festive mood right, the model only has 24 units available in India. The Countryman Black Edition is based on Cooper S John Cooper Works (JCW) inspired variant and is priced at a premium of ₹ 1 lakh over the standard model.
As the name suggests, the new limited edition model escalates the stealth quotient on the British SUV and gets several cosmetic upgrades giving it an intriguing look. In the case of visual transformation, the Countryman is loaded with a new black grille, JCW carbon fibre finished ORVMs, piano black trim for the headlight and taillights, as well as a piano black Countryman moniker stamped onto its tailgate. There are also blacked-out racing strips on the bonnet and also its roof rails come finished in black. On the sides, it runs on 18-inch JCW alloy wheels with run-flat tyres.
Under the hood, Mini Countryman Black Edition is well-equipped with a slew of enhancements like the head-up display, Mini wired package, electric sports seats, panoramic glass roof and sound system by Harman and Kardon. Other standout features include JCW aero kit, automatic tailgate access, memory function for the seats and much more.
The Mini Countryman Black Edition draws its power from the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that belts out 189 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Despite the large proportions, the Countryman JCW can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 7.5 seconds, while the fuel efficiency stands at 14.41 kmpl.
