Moto Morini Teases Mid-Size Adventure Motorcycle
Italian Motorcycle brand, Moto Morini is geared up to launch its mid-sized adventure bike which will be showcased this November during the EICMA show in Milan, Italy. All the details and features of the bike are still kept under the wraps, but there is speculation that the engine is expected to be a v-twin.
Moto Morini confirmed that the new launch is dedicated to provide excellent user experience and spur emotion by permitting a smooth ride and feel, part of the Golden Eagle brand. They have also released a silhouette featuring the Adventure Bike model flaunting wire-spoke wheels.
Moto Morini is regarded as one of the most established brands in the Italian motorcycling industry. The company was founded in the year 1937 by Alfonso Morini, the historic Italian brand known for its rich racing heritage. In the year 2010, the company has undergone a huge bankrupt but has bounced back once again in 2012. This time around, the owners put all their efforts to reinforce the brand and create an excellent brand positioning at the premium end of the segment. In August 2018, the Italian owners of Moto Morini sold the brand to Zhongeng Vehicle Group of China. With its vast production capabilities and commercial experience in the two-wheeler sector, Zhongeng plans to develop both existing products and invent new models.
At present, Moto Morini offers various styles of motorcycles like the Granpasso 1200 adventure bike. The Granpasso 1200 features either wire-spoked or cast rim version producing 118 horsepower or 78 ft-lbs of torque. The model is powered by 1187cc liquid-cooled V-Twin housed in a tubular steel trellis frame, coupled with a Marzocchi upside-down fork and a fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock.
The current models of Moto Morini are dependent on just one engine platform an 87-degree, 1,187 cc v-twin that has the potential to power four models in the brand’s line-up – the Milano, Corsaro, Scrambler, and Granpasso. The new mid-size adventure bike will be coming with the same modular system which is expected to house a middleweight naked with a slightly different state of tune. Other details and specifications will be disclosed at the EICMA 2019 show in Milan that will take place in early November.
