Renault India Launches A Brand-New Duster
Europe’s leading carmaker Renault has launched the all-new Duster in India on 8 July, with a proven strength to handle any challenge on tricky Indian terrains. With aggressive exteriors, elegant interiors and advanced equipment, the new car reiterates Renault commitment to set new standards in the SUV segment.
For the event, Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations quoted, “We have a clear goal of growing the Renault brand in India. Towards this, we are strategically strengthening our product range, expanding our network reach and initiating pioneering measures to ensure customer delight. Duster plays a pivotal role in our product portfolio and has the widest offering in the segment, enabling us to cater to evolving customer needs. We are confident that the new Duster will resonate well with discerning Indian customers”.
The new Duster will sport 25 brand new features and technology enhancements for the customers that involve an iconic and bold look, comfortable interiors, enhanced safety measures, and powerful engines.
Renault has made advancements in looks of the vehicle with the all-new, tri-winged, full-chrome grille, new dual-tone front bumper, LED DRLs and a broad hood. The R16 Everest Diamond cut alloy wheels enhance the looks of the vehicle and give it a higher ground clearance. The new edition is available to customers in two colours – Caspian Blue and Mahogany Brown.
And with such dazzling exteriors, how could Renault stay behind in making top-notch, elegant interiors? The Midnight Black interiors give a completely satisfying feel to the riders and the blue gazed seats lend a classy touch. The steering wheel of the vehicle is enriched with soft buttons that control the internal functioning of the vehicle such as cruise control, speed limiter, sound options and so on. To deliver an engaging experience, the vehicle is integrated with 17.64cm touchscreen MediaNav Evolution that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Voice Recognition and EcoGuide.
The company has also made advancements in the safety system of the vehicle delivering active and passive safety features like Antilock-Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), driver and passenger airbags, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder and speed alert. All these safety features are standard across all versions of the new Renault Duster and features such as Reverse Parking Camera, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill-Start Assist enhance the SUV capability of Duster.
In terms of engine, the vehicle is available in two variants – the 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol variant churns out 160PS power and 142Nm of torque delivering smooth drive through 5-speed X-Tronic CVT gearshift and manual transmission. The diesel variant offers two choice 110PS @ 245Nm and 85PS @ 200Nm of torque. The prices for the vehicle are between Rs. 7.99Lakhs and Rs. 12.49Lakhs for Indian consumers.
