Renault Kwid Facelift All Set to Be Launched in India
After unveiling the Kwid facelift, Renault is now ready with the car for the official launch which will take place soon. The facelifted Renault Kwid hatchback can be seen online and the top-of-the-line Climber variant will feature several key changes, as against the previous model.
Visible changes on the exterior include a split-headlamp design that mimics the Renault K-ZE E, the LED DRLs are positioned behind the front grille with the main headlamp strategically placed at the downside on the front bumper to give a wide area of visibility when needed. It also saves the headlights from breaking during a collision at low speed. The facelifted model also gets three horizontal slats on the lower front grille and a much prominent chin.
From behind, new Renault Kwid features new details in the tail-lamps and new light reflectors as well. Customers will also get a new design for the alloy wheels that are finished in a gunmetal grey shade. In the climber variant, new facelift will is expected to feature faux skid plates, body cladding, roof rails, and orange accents.
On the interiors, the facelifted Renault Kwid is expected to borrow a few elements from the recently launched Triber. The interiors will include the new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a parking camera, digital instrument cluster and the new steering wheel from Renault’s new seven-seater.
Under the hood, the Kwid facelift will be powered by the same 54hp, 0.8-litre, and 68hp, 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engines. The gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. Currently, the facelifted Kwid will be made available with the same BS-IV compliant engine but will soon introduce BS-VI compliant version by 2020.
