Renault to Announce Pricing for Kwid Facelift on October 1
Renault is going to announce pricing for Kwid Facelift on October 1, 2019. The facelifted Renault Kwid will get a split headlamp setup in the front below the LED daytime running lamps. Giving it a different look from the current Kwid, both the lamp units will have a separate enclosure and the headlamp units are also placed a little lower than the usual location. The facelifted Kwid will also feature a new front bumper with a faux skid plate for the climber (top variant).
The facelifted Kwid also gets a slightly tweaked dashboard design, an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android auto along with a new steering wheel for the interiors. The Kwid AMT variant will sport round gear shifter repositioned to the central console instead of the dashboard. The car will also feature a new, fully digital instrument console that includes a speedometer and a tachometer. In addition to that, new seat fabric and tweaked door pad trim will also be featured in the upcoming Renault Kwid facelift.
In terms of power, Renault will most probably continue with the 800cc and 1.0-litre engine options like the current models, where 800cc Kwid will come with the five-speed manual and the 1.0-litre variant will get an optional AMT gearbox.
Currently, the facelifted Kwid will carry BSIV-compliant engine, but some reports suggest Renault will introduce BSVI-compliant engines by April 2020. Renault Kwid’s prices will be revealed just a day after the launch of Maruti Suzuki S-Presso (September 30) which is the closest competitor of Kwid.
