Skoda Kodiaq Scout to Arrive Soon with Additional Features
You all must remember the Skoda Kodiaq, the spacious SUV with unique features and powerful engine. Well now, Skoda is preparing to launch the Scout variant for Kodiaq that will be equipped with rugged looks and additional equipment for off-roading.
However, the India-spec Kodiaq has not been revealed yet; there are a few differences in the off-road variant of the international market and standard variant of this SUV. The off-road variant gets an off-road styling pack that adds black plastic cladding with silver metallic inserts on the lower portion of the front as well rear bumpers along with 19-inch anthracite alloy-wheels along with Scout badging on the outside, ORVM covers, and silver roof rails.
Interiors of this SUV will feature wooden inserts on the dashboard, a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and Alcantara upholstery seats that will highlight the Scout logo on it. It will also sport the Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster that already exists on the L&K variant. Scout variant will sport an off-road driving mode which is an additional feature available only in the Scout variant.
In terms of engine power, Scout will sport a powerful 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine churning out 150hp and 340Nm of torque. It will be paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox increasing the quality of handling over this vehicle. The Scout variant will be launched by September 30, 2019, and it will be interesting to watch how the new looks on this massive SUV make it different from the current version.
