Tata Motors Soon to Initiate Manufacturing of Nexon EV
The news is official. Tata Motors will be launching four electric vehicles in India between 2019 and 2020. The models revealed in the list include Nexon, the compact SUV, Altroz hatchback, Tigor EV, and one undisclosed model. As the country will soon implement BS-VI emissions in the automobile sector, several companies have prepared a chart of their vehicle release to meet the requirements.
So far, the official confirmation for the Nexon EV has been received. Similarly, as the Tigor EV, Nexon EV would also sport a lithium-ion battery which will be positioned at the backside replacing the conventional fuel tank. It would offer AC and DC fast-charging options and have the most possible chances of sharing the battery and motor with the Altroz EV. According to Tata Motors, these vehicles will have a range of 250-300kms on a full charge and will be able to complete 80% charge in just 60mins through DC fast charging output. The prices for the vehicles have not been released yet but they would belong in the affordable car segment in their respective class.
