The month of August has witnessed many launches from some of the leaders of the automobile industry India. Brands like Maruti Suzuki, BMW, Kia, Ducati, and Benelli launched their products in the world’s third-largest automobile market. Even though the industry is going through tough times now, the brands around the globe are bringing out their best for the industry to stabilize.

Here, are the list of Top Auto Launches of August-

Kia Seltos

The Korean automobile maker launched KIA Seltos on 22nd Aug with a motive of aspiring lives with comfort and technology. The new Seltos is launched from the price of Rs. 9.69Lakhs for the lowest model and goes up till 15.99Lakhs for the highest model. Powered by a 1.5-litre petrol & diesel and a 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol motor, it is capable of churning out 115PS and 144Nm through the 1.5-litre petrol engine, 115PS and 250Nm from the diesel engine and 140PS & 242Nm through the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI motor. It comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox, CVT, a 6-speed torque converter and first in the segment 7-speed DCT. The main attraction of the premium SUV involves a 10.25-inch infotainment system, an 8-inch HUD, automatic climate control, automatic climate control, 8-speaker Bose Sound system and an ocean of connected tech by the name UVO connect.

Maruti Suzuki XL6

India’s biggest automobile manufacturer launched its ultimate SUV on 21st Aug by the name XL6. As the name suggests, it is an extra-large SUV with 6-seater spacing and spacious interiors. It is also the first Nexa product with a three-row seating arrangement. The car is the premium alternative for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and is based on latter and crossover styling. The vehicle comes with some of the best-in-class interiors and specifications while featuring an all-black theme for the interiors. The basic attraction of the vehicle can be said to be the massive seating arrangements that offer optimum comfort on every terrain. The XL6 comes with a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol mill which is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed torque converter automatic. The engine is a BS-VI compliant and churns out 103bhp and 138Nm of torque. The vehicle has monstrous power with comfortable features. It is a perfect vehicle for the people who are more engaged towards masculine outfit over a vehicle.

The legendary BMW 3 series was back this month with its ultimate vehicles and luxurious feel. The German automaker unveiled the seventh-gen G20 model last year in Paris motor show and it was finally launched in India on 21st Aug. The vehicle is offered in three-trims – the sports line, Luxury Line and the M Sports. The sports line and luxury Line is available with 320d that involves a 2.0-litre diesel engine that generates 190PS and 400Nm of torque while the M Sports line is available with 330i that includes a 2.0-litre petrol engine that churns out 258PS and 400Nm of torque. The BMW 3 series is filled with numerous features and powerful engine which has always been the motive of the German automakers. The seventh-gen will rival against Audi’s A4 and Mercedes Benz C-Class. The vehicle is offered with an 8-speed automatic gearbox with a price tag of 41.40 – 47.90Lakhs.

Hyundai on the 20th August launched the third generation of the Grand i10. The car has been launched in different variants and with both petrol and diesel power of which the latter now get an AMT. The Nios runs on a 1.2-litre Kappa engine capable of generating 81bhp and 114Nm of torque while being a BS-VI compliant version. The diesel version will be powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine that generates 74bhp and 190Nm of torque. The main attractions for the new Grand i10 are the dual-tone upholstery, touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, and dual-tone color scheme. The South Korean automaker has also enhanced the security system of the vehicle and the vehicle ranges in between 5Lakhs – 7.99Lakhs depending upon the version you choose.

Ducati Diavel 1260

The country also witnessed a creation from one of the finest bike makers in the world, The Ducati. The brand launched its best creation the Diavel 1260s on 9th Aug with a 1,262cc, L-twin motor engine that delivers 157bhp and 129Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox. The facelift Diavel has received some impeccable changes against its older version and this vehicle is so far considered the monster in the motorcycle industry. The brand has offered some really special upgrades to the new Diavel but the main upgrades involve slash-cut exhausts, 3.5-inch TFT color display with Bluetooth connectivity, optional quick shifter, eight-levels of traction control and eight-level of wheelie control.

Benelli Leoncino

Benelli leoncino was launched on 5th Aug with a body inspired by the motorcycles in the 70s. It gets a round headlamp with LED DRLs and a round LCD instrument cluster for a retro appeal. The motorcycle functions on a 499cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that can generate 47bhp @ 8500rpm and 45Nm of torque @ 4500rpm. It is mated with a 6-speed gearbox and a scrambler-styled look with some huge tires and advance handling/balancing technology.
