Revealed Ahead of its Official Launch
Toyota Raize Compact SUV scheduled for its global premiere by December 2019 has seen an early reveal for its specs and design. As per certain reports, the new SUV will share its underpinnings, body panels, engine and interiors with the recently launched Daihatsu Rocky Compact SUV.
Still, some features make this SUV different from others. Toyota Raize will arrive with a more Toyota like-nose with a large trapezoidal grille and angular housings for fog lamps, LED daytime running lamps, and Toyota logo placed above the grille.
Toyota is also expected to add some accessories on Raize that include different body kits and alloy wheel designs involving TRD package with aggressive and sporty styling. The rear side of Raize will feature horizontally placed wraparound tail-lamps with LED inserts that are connected by a thin chrome bar along with floating D-pillar and a tall bumper with thick cladding lower down and unique contrast-black inserts.
Interiors of the vehicle feature a similar dashboard like Daihatsu Rocky with faux brushed-aluminum bits on the AC vents and steering wheel. This, along with a driver-centric cockpit that has a center console with a freestanding 8.0-inch infotainment screen.
Raize SUV will arrive with a 4WD variant along with the standard front-wheel-drive versions for the lower trims. Under the hood, new Raize will sport a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, 12-valve turbo-petrol engine that generates 98Hp and 140.2Nm of torque and will be connected with a CVT gearbox at the initial stage.
