As the year 2019 is coming to its end, several companies across the country have started revealing their products for 2020. Today, we bring you the list of upcoming hatchbacks that will be released by 2020.
Hyundai i20 belongs in the most popular category of hatchbacks in India. The 2020 model of this vehicle will receive a complete model change and will be an evolution of its predecessors. It will feature Hyundai’s latest cascading grille with LED lights at the front and the back. The interiors of the vehicle will also feature new tech and features with top variant getting a sunroof. The brand will also provide new Blue Link Connected car tech in the next-gen i20. Under the hood, the upcoming i20 will feature a BS6-Compliant 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol engine along with the latest 1.0-litre turbo GDI petrol engine. The vehicle will cost around Rs. 5.5Lakh and will gain a lot of traction owing to its latest tech and design updates.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio
Celerio is one of the most successful hatchbacks from Maruti Suzuki. The new celerio will be launched in the second half of 2020 and will be lighter and stiffer from the body. The vehicle will be launched with 1.0-litre BS6-compliant petrol engine and a CNG option. The vehicle will be priced from Rs. 4.2lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis Facelift
Maruti Suzuki Ignis will get styling tweaks up at the front and some refreshed interiors as well. It will get a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine and interior styling will include a new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, making it more competitive in the segment.
Tata Tiago Facelift
The updated Tiago will get an angular nose along with some major styling tweaks and new features in the interiors. The facelift will clear through several crash tests and pedestrian safety norms. Another update in the Tiago will include the narrowing of the engine option to 1.2-litre petrol and the dropping of 1.0-litre diesel engine.
Tata Altroz will be the first vehicle from Tata in the premium hatchback segment in India. It will arrive in three engine options that include the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder motor generating 85hp, 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol generating 102hp and 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel motor generating 90hp. The vehicle will be priced from Rs. 5.3Lakh and will include some premium features internally.
